Welcome to Taylor and Kyle’s wonderful fall wedding photos at Wildwood Family Farms, Alto, Michigan. Such an easy-going, friendly and kind couple who wanted intentional time spent with their family and friends.
Alto is a small, historical city situated on Pratt Lake Creek in Kent County. It has an exotic animal park and a 36-hole golf course. Only about 30 minutes away is Downtown Grand Rapids, Michiganwith its numerous restaurants, museums and shops.
Taylor and Kyle’s vision for their wedding day was for it to be full of fun, food and drink and to feel like a big party! I can assure you the day was all those things and more. The fun-loving couple’s humour showed throughout the day. You can see this illustrated in the beautiful wedding portraits captured throughout the day.
I managed to showcase their love of life and people through the candid and special moments of their wedding day photos. Please feel free to also take a moment to look through the engagement session photos I took of Taylor and Kyle.

Wildwood Family Farms is a perfect wedding venue located in Alto, Michigan. It is about 30 minutes southeast of Grand Rapids, Michigan. This beautiful farm and property consist of eight acres of prime land. It offers a fully restored and historic 1890’s barn, that offers a holding kitchen and other state of the art facilities.
For barn weddings, there are several ceremony and reception options in addition to the barn. Your wedding celebration can take place outside by the pond, set up a tent on the lawn or in the woods. Under the stars is another option. The Wildwood Family Farms offer you the flexibility to create your own unique and special day. With so many fabulous options, is it any wonder that Taylor and Kyle chose it for their wedding day.
Taylor and Kyle’s wedding ceremony was held in this modern, farmhouse styled venue. The Carriage House was completed in Spring 2021 and features white walls with metal accents and large, earthy stiped wooden sliding doors.
As it is a blank canvas, it looks amazing with minimal decorations. Of course, there is an option to dress it up however you want to. Either way, the wedding photos in The Carriage house were spectacular.
After individual and group wedding portraits at the pond and in the wooded ceremony site, we moved on to The Upper Barn for the reception. Built in 1893, the barn has managed to keep its rustic charm and character. A beautiful view of the gardens and ponds can be seen through the sliding doors in the rear. Sparkling lights were strung around the ceiling as the bride and groom had their first dance. Everywhere you turn, there is a wonderful and unique photo opportunity at Wildwood Family Farms, Michigan.
When you are scrolling through this photo gallery of Taylor and Kyle you can’t help but notice the fun and laughter of their very special wedding day. What a pleasure and an honor it was for me to be their wedding photographer.
Taylor looked absolutely stunning in her floor length, puddle-style wedding gown, chosen by her sisters. It had a beautiful, embroidered illusion “V” neckline with the same intricate embroidery on the sheer back panel. Taylor wore her hair in a low bun and fastened it at the side with a pearl hair clip. Taylor wore a mid-length veil tucked underneath her hair bun.
Her accessories were her Great Grand-mothers diamond necklace and bracelet. Taylor had a very special relationship with her Grandpa. Her beautiful, fall floral bouquet held a special portrait memento of him. Taylor’s eight bridesmaids looked equally stunning in their rust, fall-inspired floor-length gowns.
Kyle wore a black suit with a white dress shirt, a rust coloured tie, and tan, leather shoes.
