Congratulations newlyweds, Jessie and Edouard! What a wonderful outdoor summer celebration at the White Lake Yacht Club. This lakeside wedding venue offers you the prestige and privacy of a members only yacht club. Located on the south shore of White Lake in Whitehall, Michigan near the White Lake Channel. The spectacular view of both the lake and the ocean will take your breath away. As you say “I do” underneath the unique, handmade log arbor, your wedding will be a day to remember. An exceptional wedding venue, where you can have both your ceremony and reception in the same picturesque location.
Address: 6748 South Shore Drive, Whitehall, MI 49461
Fall in love with Michigan and find out just how true their state motto is – “Our state is a land of great splendors”. The City of Whitehall is one of those splendors. Old-fashioned, small-town vibe, combined with the natural beauty of fir trees surrounding its sparkling White Lake. Rent a boat and sail away into the horizon or have lunch at an old bank, known as the Fetch Brewing Company.
Don’t forget to check out the old vault. If you climb the stairs of the White River Light Station Museum, you will love the gorgeous view of the ocean meeting the sky. Whether it’s hiking, history or the heritage park, Whitehall Michigan is a blend of natural beauty and historical charm. Is it any wonder that Edouard and Jessie chose White Lake Yacht Club as their wedding venue.
Not even a pandemic could keep this deeply in love bridal couple apart. Edouard is from the U.K. and Jessie is from the U.S. and they were super excited to enjoy their long-anticipated wedding day. It was extra special to photograph this lovely couple who had been separated for so long. Intentional time with family and friends was so important in this new chapter of their lives together. I made sure that I took advantage of the beauty of the beach and photographed them on land and water. Memories captured to treasure forever!
Jessie looked stunning in an elegant halter neck, lace bodice bridal dress, with criss-crossing spaghetti straps. Her flowy, soft tulle, floor length gown had just the hint of a train. Jessie’s braided hair by Dockside Salon and Day Spa was in an up style dotted with tiny fresh flowers.
Edouard complemented Jessie looking very dashing in his tailored blue suit and brown leather shoes. Jessie’s bouquet also had a hint of blue in it as a nod to Edouard’s blue suit. The summer sun sparkled on the water as the happy couple made their way down the pier for some beautiful wedding photos. What a blissful day for a happy and thankful couple!
Their choice of wedding venue at White Lake Yacht Club was perfect for this lakeside wedding. The outdoor ceremony was set in the beauty and wonder of the Yacht Club’s natural surrounds, overlooking the silvery lake. I took advantage of glorious nature with lots of shots of the romantic couple enveloped in sunshine. Wedding portraits including the amazing hundred-year-old trees and fallen leaves with their rings are gorgeous.
Edouard and Jessie even managed to slip in a relaxing boat ride for their bridal portraits. I loved the cake topper with the words “Finally” as this not only showed how long Edouard and Jessie had waited but that they could laugh it off too! As the sun set on White Lake so too did it set on Edouard and Jessie’s special wedding day!
