About the Couple
Dawanna and Ryan desired a family-centred intimate wedding in a very special setting. Family is everything for this loving couple. In fact, they both fell deeply in love with each other for a similar reason. Ryan loves and respects the way Dawanna has raised and been an outstanding mother to her four children. Dawanna loves the way Ryan unconditionally loves her and her children.
They truly are best friends. What started out as a building site work connection, led to prayers answered and 5 years later, they are happily married. Ivy House is a stunning property, which caught their eye from the beginning. It hosts an atmosphere of love and cares about all the little details and that’s what captured their hearts.
Dawanna wore both a ceremony and a reception wedding dress. Ryan looked fantastic wearing a three-piece ivory colored suit and tie with tan shoes. The bridal party looked awesome too, in beautiful silver blue satin silhouettes for the bridesmaids and ivory suits for the groomsmen. White hydrangea boutiques were lovely too.

Welcome to ‘the experience of a lifetime’ at the splendid Michigan Wedding Venue – Ivy House. Bridal couple Dawanna and Ryan planned an intimate family, summertime wedding at Ivy House. Saugatuck is known for its pristine beaches and has been recently voted as one of the most beautiful towns in America. Located in the city of Saugatuck on the eastern shoreline of Lake Michigan at the mouth of the Kalamazoo River. As a traveling wedding videographer/photographer, Saugatuck is a great destination for a wedding.
This is my first opportunity to cover a celebration at the brand-new wedding venue Ivy House. Owners Candice and Brian dream big, and they have delivered a marvelous property for those seeking to marry in Michigan. Their years of experience in the industry has led them to create a thoughtful and inspiring space to make dreams reality. They also have another venue in Holland, Michigan – Port 393.
Ivy House was completed in 2021 and is a nature-focused greenhouse for unforgettable celebration experiences. I’m all for travelling to new locations and trying new things, especially when someone I trust recommends it. Trust me! Ivy House, Michigan is gorgeous, professional, and memorable for all.

How to Get Married at Ivy House
Ivy House in Michigan has a wonderful website that offers a request information form. Fill out the online form and submit it, they will respond with pricing and a link to book a personal tour. There is a virtual tour online which gives an overview, however, you will understandably want to visit in person. Also, the availability calendar will help you see what dates are available for your wedding day.
They provide professional wedding event staff including a venue manager, ensuring everything you have hoped for becomes reality. All set-up and pack-down, clean up and trash removal are included in the wedding packages. Ivy House have trusted and preferred catering partners, displayed on their website.
Top Features of Ivy House
Ivy House was established in 2021 on 7 acres of beautiful prime land in Saugatuck, only minutes from town. It is a 7000 sq ft celebration venue of which 2500 sq ft is a greenhouse reception space. The tree-lined grounds are immaculate and manicured, with plenty of convenient car parking. Thoughtfully designed and built with elegance and romance in mind, you can invite up to 300 guests to your special day.
The modern barn style exterior palette is black gable roofing, white paneling, wood veranda posts and beams. Interior flooring is sand colored polished concrete, white walls, and white-washed exposed beams.
Dawanna and Ryan said their marriage vows in the gorgeous glass greenhouse. Fabulous natural evening golden hour light, café lighting and sheer white soft fabric flowing from steel grey beams made a stunning ceremony setting.
