‘Love, laughter & happily ever after’. These were the heartfelt words lovingly hand painted on a wooden wedding plaque at Amanda and Aron’s amazing wedding day. On September 19, 2021, this beautiful fall wedding was held at the magnificent wedding venue, Valhalla Tahoe, South Lake Tahoe, CA. What can I say but WOW! As a wedding photographer that loves to travel, this diverse and spectacular South Lake Tahoe is right up there with some of the most majestic destinations I’ve photographed.
The Californian resort city in Sierra Nevada mountains is a nature lovers paradise. Stunning landscapes of mountains, beaches, forests, lakes, rock formations and plenty of picture-perfect wedding portrait opportunities. Enjoy viewing the fun-filled wedding day portraits and the unique love story they capture.
Amanda and Aron are two of the sweetest and most fun-loving couples I’ve had the pleasure to meet. They are best friends, almost from the moment they met. Thanks to the dating app Bumble and a first meet at Starbucks, they have pretty much been inseparable ever since. They love to shop together, travel together, watch movies together and hang out together. In fact, it’s clear that everything is better together for Amanda and Aron.
They have a beautiful and emotional love story. Early days they always told each other, “You’re great” and then a month in they exchanged it for “I love you”. Amanda and Aron have embraced each other and believed in each other from the very beginning of their relationship, and they are excited for every moment together from this day forward.
Married on the day of Amanda’s much loved late father’s birthday was a special way of honoring his memory. Aron wore his great, great, grandfather’s treasured Elgin pocket watch. The wedding was filled with emotional moments including the first look, where the private reading of their personalised vows was shared. This entire wedding was thoughtfully planned with the main aim to relax and have loads of fun, celebrating with family and friends.
Amanda wore a simple, elegant and classic sleeveless, scoop neck, A-line wedding dress with chapel train. Her half up, half down natural curls held a pearl hairclip and diamante veil. Aron wore a three-piece black/charcoal grey tux with bow tie and suspenders. The bridesmaids wore satin silhouettes, a jewel palette of deep toned emerald green, ruby red, amethyst purple and pure gold. The bridal bouquets and floral blooms throughout the ceremony/reception space were lovely and reflective of the bridal party and season.

Valhalla means heavenly place. If you would like to check out this beautifully restored wedding venue, you can fill in an online form on their website. After you submit an inquiry, you will be able to see the available dates. Then, will reserve and secure your hopeful date for 2 weeks and will contact you in that time to answer any questions and book a tour for the bridal couple and family. In addition, there is also a virtual tour on the website that gives you a clear idea of the Grand Hall setup. I have also included the wedding video above of Amanda and Aron’s wedding which also gives an excellent visual understanding of the venue property.
Valhalla Tahoe is where the sun sets over crystal clear tranquil waters of South Lake Tahoe. It is where the forest meets the sandy beach, with the mountains rejoicing in the background. It’s a place where you can pause and breathe in all of nature’s goodness. This wedding venue has breath-taking photographic appeal, which is something to keep in mind when you are finding a place that suits your personal wedding dream.
Valhalla Grand Hall is a magnificent rustic venue that has an almost Nordic Viking feel to it. It exudes strength, craftsmanship and raw beauty. Rich in history, built in 1924 and lovingly restored it makes an awesome ceremony and reception space. The extreme high timber ceilings make way for a lovely loft dining area, horseshoe balcony and private preparation rooms. The indoor ceremony in the Grand Hall has an intimate moody and romantic ambience regardless of its grand size.
