Destination Wedding in Cancun, Mexico
International destination weddings are one of my absolute favorites! The excitement and the adventure of travelling overseas to film and photograph bridal couples is simply exhilarating. Alex and Andrew chose the beautiful and exotic town of Costa Mujeres in Mexico.
An intimate and unique destination elopement day experience with their family and friends. Having everyone in the one place over several days, means there is opportunity for deep and meaningful conversations and connections. Combining overseas photography, bridal couples and family focused in a multi-day experience is one of my greatest passions.
Situated in the heart of the Mexican Caribbean, Costa Mujeres, Mexico is a small slice of paradise. Just a 20-minute drive north will get you to the very popular location of Cancun. Coast Mujeres is the place to enjoy the relaxed vibe of a beautiful, beachside city and all it has to offer. Lined with private homes, golf courses and resorts, the white sandy beaches stretch for 3.2 kilometers.
There are restaurants full of delectable cuisines from all over the world. Spanish, Arab, Mayan and Lebanese restaurants all situated at Costa Mujeres. Find yourself immersed in the waves, surfing, boating or snorkelling with turtles. Visit some of the Mayan sites like El Meco Archaeological zone and view the lovely floral gardens and iguana population.
The best time of the year to visit the sparkling turquoise ocean is from December to April.
Location: Carretera Libre 85 Punta Sam, Isla Blanca 85 SM6, Manzana 2, Lote 4, Playa Mujeres, MX 77400
Alex’s stunning elopement dress was an elegant, strapless dress with v-neckline and plunging back. It included a train, a classic front split and detachable sleeves. Alex accessorized with silver, strappy heels and drop-pearl earrings. Her beautiful bouquet of white orchards and local palm leaves perfected the elegant, tropical look.
Andrew wore a full piece Khaki suit with a white shirt, off-white tie and tan leather shoes. Alex and Andrew chose not to have any attendants in their bridal party. Enjoy viewing these beautiful destination elopement day portraits.
Alex and Andrew had their first look portrait photos taken in the garden gazebo. What an amazing piece of architecture. A beautiful white, marble staircase leads up to a square arbour. Alex and Andrew chose to have their first look photos here. As you can see from the picture-perfect photos, what a brilliant choice!
Group portraits were located on the white sands of the picturesque Costa Mujeres beach. Saying “I DO” on the rooftop of the Sky Lounge Terrace was epic. A Japanese inspired arbour overlooks the breathtaking blue ocean where Alex and Andrew said heart felt vows. The view of the ocean and sky from the rooftop was beyond words. The weather was perfect and the scenery was breath-taking.
Costa Mujeres resort offers excellent catering services, florist and entertainment options. Their attention to detail and professionalism made the tropical themed reception of the rooftop memorable.
Alex and Andrew wanted their family and friends to have a truly relaxed experience on their special elopement day. Which is the reason for a multi-day elopement. The Majestic Elegance, a 5-star resort, was the ultimate place to gather family and friends for this elopement celebration.
This venue offers packages including a selection of spacious rooms with stunning ocean views. Thoughtfully designed to be one of the most romantic resorts in the Caribbean. Well known for its fabulous and delicious catering. All information is available on their website.
