Joshua Tree National Park in California is an all-time favorite destination for visitors from all over the world and the [erfect backdrop for this sunrise anniversary session. Many come for the adventure, relaxation, breath-taking views, and milestone celebrations. I come for all these reasons and more. The ‘more’ is my passion! Capturing the unfolding love story of couples and delivering a quality collection of memorable moments, for lifelong generational keepsakes.
This is an Anniversary celebration couples session of Becky and Dane. They planned for a springtime desert anniversary experience at Joshua Tree on sunset. They have been happily married for several years now and have 4 amazing children. Life gets extremely busy at the best of times but when you add 4 fabulous kids to the mix, it definitely ramps up. Understandably if you are not careful, you can get lost in the everyday needs of family, work, responsibilities etc. Wisely Dane and Becky took some time out to celebrate their wedding anniversary and reflect on their relationship.
Being in love, getting engaged and then married is something that you invest quality time into. There’s an immense level of significance placed on the engagement and then the wedding. Intentional time spent together in the build-up to that epic event includes hours of prep work, research, and planning.
First up the optional (but recommended) engagement photo session. Secondly, the exciting wedding details. Lastly, the actual day/s of wedding celebration with family and friends. Of course, this is hugely important and a wonderful memorable way to start off married life together. But the real deal happens from then on and it matters most!
When the wedding is just the beginning of the turning of a page in your love story. A new chapter in an already-unfolding relationship journey has begun and now, the true measure of love shines through. Promises vowed to each other on your special wedding day are now the commitments to guide you throughout your married lives.
Anniversary sessions are a beautiful way to showcase your love and the ever-unfolding story of your relationship. Showcasing how you’ve evolved as a couple, how your love has grown and deepened over the years and taking some intentional time to look back on your journey and reflect on the commitments you made to each other.
As already mentioned, Becky and Dane celebrated their Anniversary in the Californian Mojave Desert of Joshua Tree National Park. During their time away they had fun together reflecting on who they are as individuals, as a couple, and as parents. How time enriches as the years fly by!
Planning an anniversary session was meaningful and the moments alone together for Becky and Dane were splendid. Their desire was to take some time to reflect on their relationship and their love. They desired to capture their beautiful connection, even years after they said, “I DO”.
Becky wore a short khaki, flowy dress with a long black knit cardigan, tan slip-on heels and a floppy rattan hat. Her second set of clothing including black denim jeans a khaki button-up, rolled sleeve blouse and bare feet at times. Dane wore light denim jeans, a white T-shirt and black hoodie with khaki lace up shoes. He swapped his hoodie and white T-shirt for a black one.
The landscape highlights their story of love as they stand on solid rock boulders, in the desert, by the Joshua trees and on the road. Hand in hand – sometimes dancing, sometimes standing, sometimes embracing, sometimes laughing but always hand in hand.
