The Felt Estate is located between Holland and Saugatuck. This historic mansion is a lavish 12,000 square foot house. It features 25 rooms, 3 floors and an amazing ballroom. This property is 15-acres and is located along the shores of Lake Michigan.
The Felt Estate features the Carriage House, West Lawn Tent, Chapel at Shore Acres, Water Garden, Gazebo and Grotto. Felt Mansion can accommodate 120 guests indoors and up to 250 guests outdoors in the West Lawn Tent.
The Carriage House and adjacent tent can accommodate 100 guests.
The Chapel at Shore Acres, built in the style of an old, country church can seat approximately 70 people. This chapel also provides a beautiful backdrop for outdoor ceremonies.

This venue introduced the “wedding barn” concept to the public in 2003. The Blue Dress Barn features two ceremony sites. The first ceremony site is a traditional site set between two 40-foot silos.
The second site is a prairie setting in a bed of grasslands and featuring a handcrafted birch pergola and bench seating. You can find here a dance floor, draped twinkle lights and a firepit. The hand-built bar is utterly amazing. This venue accommodates up to 250 guests.
The Blue Dress Barn is perfect for an authentic, country-style themed wedding or just if you love that natural and rustic look.
5. Camp Blodgett Loeks Retreat Centre

Camp Blodgett’s Loeks Retreat Centre is situated on the beautiful Lake Michigan shoreline. Just a 45-minute drive west of Grand Rapids it offers a lovely venue overlooking Lake Michigan. The spectacular views of the water and sunsets from the dining room and deck are breath-taking.
Wedding ceremonies can be held on the deck accommodating up to 150 guests. Another option is the beach, but there may be some logistical challenges. A bridal suite is also available for your getting ready needs. Receptions can be held in the indoor dining room or outdoors on the deck. A combination of both indoors and outdoors can be accommodated by the centre. Just steps away is the beach for your wedding photos. 6. Downtown Market (Grand Rapids)

There are a few options at Downtown Market Grand Rapids. Highly recommended is the lush greenery of the rooftop Greenhouse. The perfect venue for your ceremony, reception or cocktail hour. Your guests will be surrounded by lush plants and natural light by day and gorgeous city views at night. Accommodating up to 180 guests, the Greenhouse is by far, the most popular choice.
Available for an add-on to the Greenhouse is the Garden Room. This beautiful botanical room can be used as a ceremony space, reception or cocktail area. Paired with the main Greenhouse it accommodates 150 guests.
The Banquet Room is another option with its floor to ceiling windows. It seats up to 180 at round tables, 100 classroom style or 250 for drinks.
If you want to add an outdoor element to the Greenhouse or the Banquet Room, then the two outdoor Terrace options are available.

Boatwerks’ al fresco waterfront courtyard has picturesque views of Lake Macatawa. It features a new wedding arbor, market lighting, and modern privacy screens. Hold your ceremony in the courtyard, and then enjoy the beautiful sunset view of Lake Macatawa. The courtyard can accommodate a little over 220 guests.
In addition to the above, Boatwerks offers the following spaces for your special day: –
- Macatawa Room
The Macatawa Room overlooks Lake Macatawa and the beautiful waterfront courtyard. The rich elegant wood panelled walls and classic stone fireplace are stunning. Seating is up to 75 guests or space for 100 guests in a cocktail style reception.
- East Room
The East Room overlooks Lake Macatawa. It has incredible views towards the north and east through floor-to-ceiling windows. It offers maximum seating for 145 guests.
- West Room

The Black River Ballroom is the highlight of our events centre. The ballroom has 3 walls of windows looking out onto the picturesque Lake Macatawa. The west facing retractable wall of windows accesses the courtyard. This provides an open-air feeling that Boatwerks has become famous for. The Ballroom offers a maximum seating for up to 400 guests. In addition to the above, a luxurious bridal suite dressing room is also available.

8. Weaver House of Pine Bend Park

Weaver House is a beautifully renovated house built in 1901. It can be found at Pine Bend County Park, in West Olive. Surrounded by the natural beauty of the forest, this historical property is gorgeous. It is perfect for an intimate wedding venue. The house itself offers beautiful vintage furniture from the 1900’s period. Weaver House is surrounded by an amazing veranda that was popular in that era. The bridal party can use the rooms on the second story for getting ready.
Another key point is that there are plenty of parking spaces, modern kitchen appliances and restrooms.
For an outside ceremony, there is a large white arbor at the top of raised, semi-circular steps. The background forest is utterly amazing, making your ceremony portraits absolutely breath-taking.
Banquet tables and chairs are available for up to 50 people. Outdoor ceremony can accommodate up to 150 guests.

9. The Cheney Place

The Cheney Place is an urban warehouse space offering you modern, vintage and romance at its finest. It is located along the Grand River in Grand Rapids. This warehouse building has polished concrete and original hardwood floors. In addition, I would be remiss not to mention the delightfully frosted windows surrounding this space. Antique furniture and fittings are available for hire from the owners.
Boasting over 20,000 square feet of space you can host your ceremony and reception all in the same place. A bridal suite and groom’s lounge is also available.
There’s space for your cocktail hour on the second floor and lots of room for dining and dancing on the first floor. The warehouse can accommodate ceremonies for up to 225 people and receptions for up to 300 people.

10. InisFree Estate

The possibilities are endless on the 30-acre property of Inisfree Estate. This property is a family-owned, luxury wedding venue located Southwest of the Michigan lakeshore area. Offering indoor or outdoor wedding spaces, it’s your choice. This property has an historic barn, pond view pavilion and beautiful gardens. Bride and Groom suites are also available. Bed and breakfast accommodation for your guests is an option as well.

- Historic 1893 Inisfree Barn
Inisfree Barn is a beautifully restored barn, modern yet maintaining its authentic structure. The barn offers two spacious dressing rooms, an antique Al Capone bar and a catering kitchen. The large balcony used to be the hayloft. The ample floorspace is perfect for dining and dancing on your special day. However, if weather is an issue the barn has a large, covered porch. This Historic barn can accommodate up to 300 guests.
- The Pond View Pavilion
Mere steps away from the barn you will find the Pond View Pavilion. The pavilion seats up to 200 guests and overlooks the beautiful and picturesque pond. The pond loses itself in the distant tree line and rolling grassy acres. This space is perfect for your ceremony, cocktail hour, dancing and reception.
- Butterfly Sanctuary Garden
Surrounded by beautiful willow arbors, the secluded Butterfly Sanctuary Garden can be found. Just follow the boardwalk to this intimate setting. The flowers and shrubs attract the many butterflies making your experience magical. This spectacular space seats up to 220 guests comfortably.
- Siochain “Peace” Garden
The Peace Garden sits on a small hillside overlooking the picturesque pond. It is adorned with angel statuaries, fountains, wood sculptures and floating flower beds. A flagstone terrace is visible through the front arbor. The garden is surrounded by a beautiful array of flowers and shrubs. Seats up to 250 guests comfortably.
Additionally, the Glebe Stone Cottage provides an onsite option for a luxurious honeymoon suite.
